• Who are we?

• We are one of fourteen regional centers working for the Basel Convention.

• We serve the Arab Counties parties to the Basel Convention.

• We work with community organizations, NGOs, local and national governments encouraging the environmental benefits of waste minimization and disposal.

• We promote environmental education and communication, which we believe is a key to achieving the sustainable development objectives.

• How we do it?

• We implement projects related to the Environmentally Sound Management of Hazardous Wastes.

• We organize and co-organize workshops, seminars, and training on the different aspects of hazardous waste management.

• We initiate and promote programs on capacity building for decision makers and NGOs staff working on the field of environmental protection.

• We work on the synergies between the Basel Convention and the other sister Conventions on the local, national, and international scale.

• Why we do it?

Implementing the obligations under the Basel Convention on the national and regional scale is our main goal.
